Left orbit - A rather tight orbit shot that goes around the back of the game, where the ball can either be diverted into the bumpers or straight around to the right flipper.When strobing, shooting the target will complete GUARDIANS, which also increases the Bonus Multiplier by +1x and lights Mystery at the scoop. When lit solidly, shooting it will add a letter to GUARDIANS. GUARDIANS target - A wide standup target covering the dead end lane from the right side.Slow balls returning from this lane might fall into the left outlane, so watch out! It can be lit as a mode shot and has a white “Yondu” light. Dead-end lane - This is a small lane ending at a target to the very left of the playfield, in a similar position to the Fuel lane from Metallica.Left inlanes - A set of two Pat Lawlor-esque inlanes, both of which contain Nova Corps inserts.Left outlane - Pretty wide on this machine and prone to drains due to the Magna-Force.

Also worth noting is that the modes on this machine are directly tied to scenes from the movie and thus have very strict timers.
The machine is deceptively simple, being a mode-based machine in the vein of Aerosmith, but it has a few tricks up it’s sleeve for the experienced player - including a bonus system that encourages risk / reward.
